Affordable Car Hire
The front facing site was only the tip of the iceberg though with a much bigger 'Agent' portal to be included as well.
With updates to their 'White Label' offering and a new XML API to be written and integrated, this is definitely
one of the bigger projects I've undertaken. |
Go Car HireContinuing the Car Hire theme, Go is a small upcoming company offering car hire worldwide. |
Special Offer CruisesBorn from the resent interest in Cruise Holidays, this start up company required an easy to administer site to promote all the deals that they had to offer. |
Dordogne Holiday HomeBrouchure site for two holiday homes in the Dordogne region of France. Complete site rebuild as well as basic booking calendar administration. |
C.E.I.Cameleon Studios won the tender to produce the Database Administration Interface for the CEI website for which I was tasked to produce. An interesting project for a very interesting client! |
SubrellaMy first commission through Cameleon Studios. Their client, 'Walport' wanted a site dedicated to one product, the 'Subrella'. |
Cheap HolidaysStarted in 2000, this project is possibly one of the largest I have ever undertaken. Merging flight, accomodation and 'extras' data into a presentable, easy to use site. A lot of credit must also go to the in house team. |
Flightline Essex LimitedI spent 7 years at Flightline Essex Limited. Nurturing a site from CGI, through ASP to PHP along the way. A single site in the humble beginnings but went onto becoming an empire of over 120 sites by the time I left! |
Financial TimesNot a lot to say, really. Was part of the team who did the major redesign in 1998. Was responsible for the 'Push Channel' and the 'My Portfolio' pages. Looks great on the CV though! |
Portfolio
So, what do I do? Here's a taster in reverse chronological order.
[disclaimer] nearly all this work is L.A.M.P. No rails stuff here.... yet!
Keith Symmonds
I'm the {ahem} brains behind Tamed Media. I've been doing the 'web' thing for about 14 years. Back then using ASP (now known as Classic ASP) in my favourite editor, Notepad! Now a hardend PHP developer, but doing more new projects in Ruby on Rails if the clients need fit. A recent Apple convert of about 24 months which complements my long term love of Linux. I still run XP and Vista virtual machines to test those 'other - not - so - complient' browsers ;-) If you want deeper 'peek' into the world of Keith, check out my blog. Feel free to mail me about anything web related, you'll soon find I have an opinion on just about anything!
